Time Square Billboard Banners

My Contributions
One of the most exciting and rewarding long-term projects I got to work on during my time at SiriusXM and Pandora was the Time Square Banners in New York City. These banners take up a full city block and

and if not the the largest, is one of the largest displays in Time Square. Over the course of 3 years i worked on easily 40 - 50 of these banners, each with their unique design challenges and goals.
What I Designed
Every week I designed roughly 2 - 3 Time Square banners, either entirely from scratch or where I would resize pre-existing designs from other campaigns to fit into the banner dimensions, spanning technically 4 banners that make up the display in its entirety. In many cases these these banners needed to be

animated and so in order to pull this off I worked with MGFX designers to help animate my ideas. While in most cases I built specific templates for these scenarios, I also designed storyboards for more custom animated banners that did not follow a pre-determined template.
The Template
One of my biggest contributions to the Time Square Banner was that I actually designed the template that could be repurposed and reused for other designers working at SiriusXM and Pandora. Designed in Photoshop, I utilized multiple art boards and smart objects to create a design system, that allowed for all the boards to update once changes were made in the "parent" art board, thus expediting the entire design process.
"King Kong" Banner Display
The previous banner design was not the only Time Square Display I worked on. Right below said banner was another placement known as the "King Kong" display and was another banner size I worked on throughout my time at this role.
My Contributions
Because of the sizing difference, this banner display had its own unique set of design challenges, some of which involved making sure that important information was not displayed in the middle of the banner, where it would have been folded in half.
Social Recognitions
During my time working on the Time Square banners, the banners I designed occasionally would get called out from the respective artist we were promoting. Most of the shout-outs were on

platforms like Twitter, Tiktok, Intagram and Facebook. In some these posts generated millions of views/impressions which resulted in higher user engagement for us.
